Andrew Jungclaus Receives Lake Doctoral Dissertaton Fellowship

Congratulations to Andrew Jungclaus, doctoral candidate, who has just received the Lake Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at IUPUI for the 2017-2018 academic year. This one-year grant is given annually to support an advanced graduate student whose research engages both religion and philanthropy or faith and giving. Andrew is completing his dissertation project, titled “True Philanthropy”: a Religious History of the Non-Profit Family Foundation, which investigates the role of religion in shaping early twentieth-century market structures, conceptions of the public good, and the rise of “third sector” philanthropic institutions in the United States.
