Quinn Clark receives a Fulbright-Nehru grant

Doctoral student Quinn Clark has received a Fulbright-Nehru grant to carry out fieldwork in 2018-2019 for his tentatively titled project, “Muslim Saint Shrines and the Politics of Belonging.” He fieldwork will be carried out in Lucknow, India. Relying on a mix of archival research and ethnographic life history interviews, Quinn will use this grant to understand the intellectual roots of various, sometimes distinct debates surrounding the visitation of Sufi saints’ shrines and how these debates are experienced by shrine visitors today.
