Biography

James Gasper is an MA student focused on Buddhist studies, psychology, and constructions of religion. His research delves into Buddhist compassion-based meditation practices for addressing emotional burnout within the therapeutic alliance. Through critical theory, Buddhist ethical and philosophical systems, archival research, and an interdisciplinary approach, he navigates the contemporary concern of psychological burnout for therapists and paves the way forward with Buddhist practices,  grounding his studies in empirical research.
