Biography
Nino Rex is an M.A. candidate looking to explore the first formulations around meditative practices and the soteriological frameworks which classically frame them, namely through Hinduism and Buddhism. Her interests include debates between nondualists and yoga proponents, theological understandings of bodies, sleeping, dreaming, waking, and dying, and the nuances around the religiosity and secularism divide. She has presented research on the mind-body connection, has held yoga teaching and teacher trainer positions, and has had a career in software engineering where she has worked to make AI systems scale sustainably. She is excited to explore bridges between wisdom traditions & technology in ways that are meaningful.
