Biography
My research centers on Tantric and Dzogchen lineages within the Nyingma school, examining the diffusion of medical and spiritual components in G.yu thog (Yuthok)’s tradition and how his lineage dynamically serves diverse medical and ritual aims. Through combined textual and ethnographic analysis, I also wish to explore modern adaptations, such as the abbreviated seven-day retreat cycle, to examine how shifting ratios between monastic and lay practitioners drive contemporary transformations in Tantric Buddhist practice.
