Buildings, monuments, and landscapes remain a visible and therefore public expression of histories of colonialism and its religious entanglements. To explore the connections between religion, colonialism, and the built environment, this first of two panel-discussions focused on Religion, Colonialism, and the Built Environment brings together scholars of religion and architecture who will present on their own research and invite the audience to join a conversation about how religious groups contributed to and responded to colonialism through the built environment.
